**Banks and Credit Unions** that hold multiple programs are often issued fees for every “On-us” ACH transaction that is passed through the Clearing House or the Federal Reserve. These transactions are routed externally, resulting in fees that could otherwise be avoided by internal processing. 

With Virtual Account Numbers by MBI, your financial institution will be empowered to minimize the cost of ACH processing by using our custom transaction parsing system.  Transactions initiated by a financial institution (known as ODFI transactions) are dispersed using the originating institution’s routing numbers, and are internally routed to the proper system.

Rather than distributing one’s account number to numerous merchants and payees, customers can generate a unique Virtual Account Number with specific rulesets tied to the tokenized number. 

For example, rulesets can include transaction details such as transaction amount, payee/merchant. Transactions that do not meet the designated criteria may be declined. In tandem with a Virtual Account Number, Routines can be established to decline any transactions made to the account that do not fit the designated criteria.
